The Address is a symbol of a powerful insight: we are stronger together than we are apart. The evening is a demonstration of the unique and historic partnership between the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Te Awe Maori Business Network and the Wellington Pasifika Business Network – together known as the Power of Three.

The gala dinner is headlined by the Wellington Address, an ode to the city and a vision for its future. This year’s Address was given by Phil Veal, the Managing Director at ForthCo.

Introducing The Kupe Awards
2025 brings the beginning of a new era for The Wellington Address, as the 4 awards receive a name to reflect their prestige for the first time.
Named in honour of Kupe, the legendary Māori chief and first settler of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, these awards recognise those shaping Wellington’s cultural, environmental, economic, and social future.
The Kupe Awards are a prestigious namesake that links the present to the past, and pays tribute to the pioneers of today.
